Description: Make a beautiful fall leaves craft. Practice patterning skills while making a spooky Halloween necklace, make and eat a fun Halloween snack, and enjoy other science activities and crafts.

Fee: $7 per child
Description: Join us for our annual Halloween Science party for little ones! Practice your sorting and measuring skills, make a film canister ghost fly, make and eat a fun snack, figure out “which witch is which” along with other hands on science stations.

Description: Make a CD sun catcher and other out of this world projects while learning about objects in the Solar System.

Title: Cartoon Physics

Ages: 9 – 12 years
Fee: $7 per child
Description: These silly hands-on activities will make physics fun! Make your own cartoon character and use it to explore gravity, friction and other physical science concepts.

Title: Welcome Winter!

Ages: 3 – 5 years
Fee: $6 per child, no charge for adult
Description: Join us for a winter party! Enjoy winter-time crafts, hot chocolate (with marshmallows, of course!) and a fun snack. Please dress to spend some time outside!

Title: Volcanoes!

Ages: 8 – 12 years
Fee: $8 per child
Description: Explore the layers of the Earth, how the Earth’s crust moves, and build a model volcano. Use dry ice and hot water to make it erupt! Take home a piece of obsidian (volcanic glass) to add to your rock and mineral collection.

Title: Rock Party
Date: December 29, 2010
Time: 1:00 – 2:30
Ages: 6 – 8 year olds
Fee: $9 per child
Description: Join us for these hands on science stations that rock! Sort and classify rock and mineral samples, make a fossil model, make some beautiful rock and mineral jewelry and take home samples to start your own rock collection.
